Hello and welcome back to my weekly thoughts!
Today I'm going to talk about my personal experience with at home exercise.
I know I've talked about exercise before, but I'm calling this Pt. 1 just to start keeping track of my growth. Now onto workout talk.
In more recent months I've discovered the power of more condensed workouts, what I mean by this is having a workout that takes between 5 and 15 minutes. This sounds like it wouldn't work but, especially for someone like me who was practically at square one, it actually gives tangible results.
The key to these short workouts is that you gradually move onto harder and harder exercises, take me for example, my wrists were very weak so I had to start with wall pushups, then make my way to knee pushups, and finally full on pushups.
Before I adopted this idea I just wanted to brute force everything and try to make progress too fast, this ended up causing me pain and making my experience less enjoyable, which by the way is a very important topic in my opinion.
The best part about all this is that there are a large number of variations for these common exercises like pushups, which can each address different issues and stages of your journey, so you probably won't run out of options any time soon assuming you're not already swole.
Which brings me onto my final thought, if you already have a workout plan that you enjoy and you're super far along on your journey already, I'm not sure if any of this would make sense for you. I can't speak from experience because I'm still pretty novice, but this whole regimen seems best suited for people who want to try something new.
With all that said, I have seen improvement in my body personally so I definitely think this system can work for some people, and it doesn't even take up very much time!
As always thanks for reading, have a wonderful week.
